Because boating is so "weather related" the easiest and most reliable way to book a trip is by calling Captain Wes at 207-963-7007. I spend a considerable amount of time and attention following the weather very closely daily through the National Weather Service, both local Bangor TV station forecasters, and combine it with decades of "local knowledge."...

Thusly, once you've decided to take a trip, please call and, based on your description of what you'd like to do, see, or photograph, I can then give you good current advice. For general questions, please email us.

Many folks traditionally like to call and book "approximate" dates well in advance and that is great as I can lock you into my schedule. For "must do on this date" days using the boat as a traditional "taxi" there is generally 'no problem' regarding weather as the boat is extremely safe, radear and GPS equipped, and the cabin is fully enclosed, etc ... Thusly, time, place and date can be set well in advance.

However, on 'tour,' 'sealife,' picnic' or 'photography' excursions, weather (clouds, sun, fog, wind, seas) is an important factor and the advice on these things is best given a day or three 'before' the trip.

Consequently, when you call initially we can discuss these things and I can give you an honest and accurate opinion of the coming weather as I see and study it... Given my schedule and your desires we can pick the best day and times... (My 'enjoyment' of operating this service is in helping others to enjoy the beauty of the area and I do not enjoy it if my passengers are unhappy for any reason...)
